Async with Messenger

By default the login is processed synchronously, inside the request. Geolocation lookups and email sending then add latency to the login response. Symfony Messenger moves that work out of the request.

Upgrading to 3.0

The payload of AuthLoginMessage changed: it now carries a UserIdentity object instead of a plain identifier. Messages queued by 2.x are rejected by 3.0 code, so drain the queue before deploying — see the upgrade guide.

Absolute URLs from a worker

A Messenger worker has no request context, so generating absolute URLs (used by the login confirmation links) requires a default URI:
